Testing Requirements for College Admissions

UC will not consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding scholarships.
If you choose to submit test scores as part of your application, they may be used as an alternative method of fulfilling minimum requirements for eligibility or for course placement after you enroll.

California State University (CSU)

The CSU system uses student's test scores to help determine their eligibility index for admissions.

*Due to COVID-19, the CSU system has suspended the testing requirement for Fall 2022 applicants.
 
Minimum GPA requirement has increased to 2.5. Applicants with a GPA between 2.0-2.49 are subject to additional requirements.

Private Schools:

Private Colleges and Universities may require test scores. Others are test-optional or test-blind. Check with each individual private college for more information about their admission requirements.
 

Community Colleges:

Community Colleges do not require test scores for admissions.
